Project: Queensland University of Technology Creative Industries Project – Kelvin Grove

This $4m project which incorporated state of the art auditoriums and Lecture theatres was undertaken with ABI Group as the construction manager.

This is one of Brisbane’s first vineyard and productive winery, once again a high profile project that will be well received by our local community and our tourist trade.  This project consisted of L.V. reticulation, general light & power, security systems, fire alarms and a complex motor control and bottling process system.  Logan City Electrical were heavily involved in the design of the systems in place.

This project comprises of 3 new buildings for the Federal Government, there is a mixture of H.V. works, L.V. works, fire, voice data and special painting facilities for the F111 Jets.  The works are spread over a large site so it was very important that the planning and site set up was such that we would not have unnecessary down time.

This project started out as a standard industrial light and power type project for Darling Downs Bacon.  We then tendered the process and motor control package that required a lot of design input during the tendering process, once the tendering process was over we were required to redesign the entire system to suit the new requirements of the client.  We perform all the works on site as well as re-designing the program without affecting the builders programmed completion date.
The process included Boning Room, Packaging Room and Offal Room.

This project comprises of a Franklins, Best & Less, 30 specialty shops and undercover car parking for 200 cars.  Once again we had to perform to a very tight program to enable the tenants to start their fit out works on time.  Many a long night was spent by our site team to meet the required programmed completion dates.

This project consisted of a five story ward block with a new H.V. sub station and major L.V. reticulation.  Some of the specialist services include nurse call systems, voice data, MATV and public address, cardiac and body protected areas, theatre lighting and battery back up systems.  We also had to refurbish the existing 9 level tower building, this had to be done with minimal disruption to the day-to-day activities of a fully functional hospital.  The main areas that had to be upgraded were x-ray, operating theatres, recovery, ICU/CCU, accident and emergency and the kitchens.

This project consisted of the complete design and construct of the process control for the new blending and mixing plant, Logan City Electrical once again were contracted to use their expertise in the complete design and installation of a complex motor control system.

Logan City Electrical worked very closely with the client to ensure they got the type of facility they had designed.  Many an issue would be discussed in detail with the client to ensure the positioning of cabling etc was in the correct location so it could be connected by the client’s maintenance staff once they had pulled it out of the existing complex.
